Our Approach
You want to feel better fast.
Not only that, you want to keep feeling better down the road.
I offer therapy that gives you both.

Our approach is evidence-based
and growth-focused.
We use therapies that are tested and proven to help others in similar situations, and they work by supporting your natural capacity for growth.
Read on to learn more about the types of therapy we offer and how they can support your path.
Therapy is an investment of your time, money, and energy. I want you to get the best bang for your buck.
I want our work together to “work” – for you to achieve the goals you brought to therapy – and I also want you to build skills and self-knowledge that continue to serve you for years to come. At the end of our time together, I want you to see how far you’ve come and have a clear path forward to keep growing.
Luckily, there’s more than one type of therapy that meets this criteria. We’ll choose the ones that fit you best.
Types of
Therapy
01
Narrative Therapy
Helps us to unpack the stories we have in our head – about ourselves, our lives, our experiences – and write new ones that center our strengths and open up new possibilities.
03
Behavioral Activation (BA)
Helps relieve the symptoms of depression through our brain’s natural motivation systems. Like scientists in a lab, we experiment with different activities to release your body’s feel-good neurotransmitters naturally. BA is as effective as medication in treating depression, with side effects that may include more energy, connection, creativity, and meaning.
05
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Helps us relate to difficult thoughts and feelings with greater openness, build present-moment awareness, and take meaningful action guided by your values. This work can help you feel more grounded, flexible, and empowered in your daily life.
02
Motivational Interviewing
A way of talking about change. We’ll explore the reasons why you want to make a change, and why it might feel scary or uncomfortable. If you choose to make a change, we’ll break your goal into steps that feel achievable. We’ll meet missteps and setbacks with compassion, knowing that change isn’t a straight line.
04
Positive Psychology
Focuses on what makes life worth living. Rather than asking, “what is wrong with you?,” we ask, “what is right with you, and how can we build on it?” We create opportunities to experience positive emotions, explore activities that engage and inspire, foster meaningful connections, and root into a sense of purpose.
06
Person-centered Therapy
Therapy that encourages you to lead the way. I’ll hold a safe space for you to process your emotions and experiences, and reflect back to you to support your deepening understanding.
